Thai Man Found with 10,000 Pairs of Women’s Underwear

While some fetishes may stretch the boundaries of the conventional, a man in Thailand who was arrested for possession of 10,000 pairs of women’s underwear pushed the envelope far beyond the realm of the acceptable.

Police found a horde that was not to be believed: 1,000 pairs in the man’s vehicle and more than 10,000 pairs in his home.

The 48–year-old man was arrested with an accomplice after he broke into a building located in Bangkok’s Chinatown.

The suspect admitted to police that he had been stealing and collecting panties since he was 18. But perhaps that’s not the worst of it.

“He smelled them all the time, even while driving,” said police Major General Saroj Promcharoen.

They could arrest him only for breaking and entering, but not for stealing property because no one has reported the underwear stolen, legally translating to the lack of a plaintiff.

Germany's 'beer bikes' could be taken off the roads

Some municipal governments in Germany are trying to ban the popular 'beer bikes,' which are powered by pedaling and sometimes serve food and alcohol.

 

They are a mainstay of German street life, a quintessential German way for people to hold anything from a bachelor party to a Christmas work party.

Classified as bicycles, they can ride on the streets and park wherever, and they don’t pollute. But on the street, they look like a restaurant on wheels: wide, pedal-powered, multiseat conference bikes taking between 10 and 20 party-goers zigzagging through the most crowded shopping or tourist areas. Many do not serve alcoholic drinks, but their noise and bulk often anger residents and passersby. Now the “beer bikes,” born in neighboring Holland, are under scrutiny.

Last month, a court in the western city of Düsseldorf formally banned them, saying that the beer bikes are a traffic nuisance. The court case could bolster efforts under way in German cities from Berlin to Münster to ban the contraptions.

Canadian Digs Out Basement Using Only Radio Controlled Scale Tractors and Trucks...Since 2005!

Excavating a basement using professional machinery is nothing new but doing it with radio controlled (RC) scaled models is something unheard of. Welcome to the little big world of Joe, from Saskatchewan, Canada. For the past 7 years (!), Joe has been digging out his basement at an average annual rate of 8 to 9 cubic feet using nothing more than RC tractors and trucks!
And we're talking about the whole nine yards here - he starts by transporting the excavator on an RC truck to the basement, unloads it, digs and uses other trucks to transfer the dirt up to the ground through a spiral ramp! He even has a miniature rock crusher!
"I feel quite fortunate to have stumbled onto this basement excavation idea, it's been a great past time to date dreaming up new ideas to tackle different projects along the way," Joe wrote on the Scale4x4rc forums where he also posted pictures and videos of his feat.
"It's been a great hobby thus far, dreaming up - building all sorts of different minature equipment from kits or from scratch for this "mining" project. If it wasn't for this mining project I probably would have lost of interest in this hobby by now b/c once the models are built - the novelty of how they work & perform would wear off with no task to be accomplished them," he notes in another post.
